Client Acknowledgement & Terms
By submitting a gemstone for evaluation, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following:
Ownership & Abandonment
Stones remain the property of the client until the evaluation is completed and results are delivered. If no written instructions, payment, or response is received within 90 days of evaluation delivery, the stone may be considered abandoned. Storage fees may apply. Any further disposition will be handled in accordance with applicable abandoned property laws.
Condition & Liability
All stones are evaluated as received. I am not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing fractures, cleavage planes, inclusions, treatments, hydrophane behavior, or inherent material instability. While evaluations are non-destructive, all gemstones carry some degree of natural risk during normal handling.
No Appraisal or Value Guarantee
This service represents an expert opinion and is not a formal appraisal or certification. Any discussion of value is provided for general market context only and does not guarantee resale value, future market performance, or suitability for cutting or setting.
Laboratory Testing & Disclosure
Certain characteristics, including origin, treatment status, or precise identification, may require advanced laboratory testing. Recommendations for lab submission do not imply guaranteed results.
